About the Role:
We are seeking a Computer Vision / Deep Learning Engineer to advance research and development of perception systems for COBOTS and autonomous robots in a manufacturing environment. This role is focused on designing vision-based algorithms for navigation, object detection, and obstacle avoidance, while collaborating with robotics engineers to deploy real-world solutions that transform industrial automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and develop advanced computer vision techniques for collaborative robots (COBOTS) in manufacturing plants.
Design and implement vision-based algorithms for navigation, object detection, and obstacle avoidance.
Collaborate with robotics engineers to integrate perception systems into robotic platforms.
Apply Deep Learning and AI models to improve robot autonomy, accuracy, and safety.
Optimize algorithms for real-time deployment in manufacturing environments.
Contribute to proof-of-concepts, testing, and scaling solutions into production systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of overall IT/technical experience with 2–4 years focused on Deep Learning.
Hands-on expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Vision applications.
Proficiency in Python for Data Science and relevant libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV).
Experience with Robotic Process Automation (Automation Anywhere).
Strong background in developing and deploying vision-based algorithms for robotics.
Solid understanding of robotics perception, navigation, and obstacle avoidance.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience working with autonomous robots, COBOTS, or industrial automation systems.
Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and translate research into practical applications.
