Role description
This is an exciting opportunity for an SC CLEARED Data Modeller to join our client, working at the forefront of digital technology. The successful candidate will work in a cutting edge public-sector project, seeking to exploit data for the benefit of the nation.
Responsibilities
• Engage with business and technical stakeholders to capture accurate information about data and processes.
• Produce and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) aligned to business needs and technical architecture.
• Reverse engineer data models from live systems where required.
• Ensure models and data dictionaries are accessible, well-structured, and support enterprise analytics and governance.
• Communicate the business benefits of data standards, and actively champion and govern their use across the organisation.
• Translate complex data into valuable insights, supporting decision-making and business objectives.
• Use appropriate visualisation techniques to present data and models in compelling and actionable ways.
• Recognise and articulate opportunities to improve organisational efficiency and effectiveness through better data use.
Skills and Experience
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven experience in data flow/lineage modelling.
• Expertise in producing conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Ability to apply industry-recognised data modelling patterns and standards.
• Experience using Sparx Enterprise Architect (Sparx EA) or equivalent modelling tools.
• Ability to reverse engineer models from live systems.
• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data standards.
• Ability to translate data into insights and actionable outcomes.
Additional Information:
• Rate offered: Up to £525 per day
• IR35 Status: Outside
• Duration: Initial sign up of 6 months, with significant opportunity for extension.
• Location: 1-2 days/ week onsite in Hampshire
• Required: ACTIVE SC Clearance
