Our client is seeking a Data Operations & Automation Analyst to join a growing team focused on improving operational efficiency through automation, data analysis, reporting, and process improvement. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to develop scalable solutions, automate manual processes, maintain data integrity, and support business-critical systems.
The ideal candidate has Python experience for building automation solutions across large datasets and enjoys combining technical expertise with business operations to solve complex problems. They should be comfortable working with very large datasets, identifying process inefficiencies, and collaborating across technical and business teams to drive measurable operational improvements.
Requirements
• Professional experience developing solutions with Python is required. Candidates should be comfortable writing, modifying, and maintaining Python scripts for data extraction, automation, reporting, and process improvement.
• Experience with workflow automation tools such as PowerShell, Power Automate, Excel VBA, or similar technologies.
• Experience in data operations, business systems, reporting, analytics, workflow automation, or process improvement.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups, data validation, and analysis of large datasets.
• Experience creating dashboards, reports, operational metrics, and recurring reporting solutions.
• Strong experience validating, cleaning, transforming, and maintaining large datasets.
• Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, SharePoint or similar collaboration platforms, and document management systems.
• Experience with workflow, ticketing, or project management platforms (Jira experience preferred).
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within Medical or Legal-oriented data operations preferred.
Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation solutions using Python, PowerShell, Power Automate, Excel VBA, and related technologies.
• Analyze, validate, clean, and transform large datasets to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
• Design and implement workflows that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support scalable business processes.
• Create dashboards, reports, scorecards, and operational metrics that provide actionable insights for business leaders.
• Investigate data discrepancies, process gaps, and system issues, and identify and implement practical solutions.
• Support business systems, databases, document management platforms, and operational applications used across the organization.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and develop practical, scalable process improvements.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflow documentation, training materials, and process guides.
• Support data migrations, document processing, file management, and other operational initiatives.
• Assist with testing, implementation, and rollout of new reports, workflows, automation tools, and system enhancements.
• Provide technical support and guidance related to reporting, automation, operational processes, and supported systems.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen data quality, and increase automation across the business.
