Role description
Data Privacy Analyst III Location: SEA/TAC, WA (Hybrid – onsite as needed) Duration: 1 year contract with possible extension About the Role We are seeking an experienced Data Privacy Analyst III to join our growing privacy team. This position will support global privacy initiatives and may be aligned to either a technology focus or a business/compliance focus, depending on your background and expertise. As part of the Data Privacy team, you’ll work across IT, legal, and business functions to implement and maintain strong privacy practices, ensure compliance with global regulations, and deliver meaningful impact. Key Responsibilities: Depending on focus area, responsibilities may include: Technology-Focused • Fulfill and manage data subject requests (DSRs). • Support IT asset and data processing inventories. • Assist with data mapping, flow diagrams, and documentation. • Review and advise on new technologies, proof-of-concept projects, cookies & consent practices. • Contribute to privacy reporting and internal communications. Business-Focused • Develop and maintain data processing inventories with business stakeholders. • Conduct Privacy Threshold Assessments, PIAs, and DPIAs. • Review contracts and data processing agreements (DPAs), escalating risks as needed. • Manage internal and external privacy inquiries and requests. • Support development of privacy training, awareness events, and communications. Qualifications • 3–5 years of experience in data privacy, data protection, compliance, or IT privacy operations. • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Law, Business, Compliance, or related field. • IAPP (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) or ISACA certification strongly preferred. • Strong understanding of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, APAC frameworks). • Experience with privacy management solutions (OneTrust, TrustArc, BigID, etc.) and collaboration tools (Azure DevOps, SharePoint). • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple initiatives.
