Role Overview As our Data Product Owner and Delivery Lead, you’ll be an integral part of our Analytics Projects Team within Claims. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality data products and services that support various aspects of our insurance business focused around our initiatives within Claims and our three year plans. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, commercial and operational teams, data scientists and various stakeholders to define, prioritise and lead the development of data solutions that enable data driven decision making and business growth. Job details – you’ll need to have demonstrable experience in: • Leading and managing data products, including data pipelines, data warehouses and analytics tools, throughout their lifecycle – from ideation to delivery, and owning end-to-end delivery planning for data products including scope, milestones, dependences, risks and issue management • Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives – working with team members and coordinating across business and technical teams to balance demand, capacity and delivery commitments and defining and communicating the product vision • Defining acceptance criteria for user stories and performing regular testing to ensure data product quality and reliability meet the defined criteria • Providing clear delivery reporting to stakeholders, including progress, risks, decisions and escalations where required and acting as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication of project progress • Maintaining and prioritising the product backlog, ensuring that user stories and tasks are well defined, estimated and ready for development • Proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance data product development and delivery Essential Skills/experience • Experience as a Product Owner or Delivery Lead in an a data-focused environment – insurance experience (or other regulated environment) would be beneficial • Strong understanding of data engineering, data warehousing and analytics concepts • Experience in risk and dependency management alongside stakeholder reporting – able to translate business requirements into technical solutions with the ability to discuss this at both a technical and non-technical level • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, SQL and Power BI The interview process • Recruiter intro/screening call • 1st stage interview with hiring leader • 2nd interview with hiring leaders leader As a Disability Confident employer, we’re committed to ensuring our recruitment processes are fully inclusive – what this means to you is if you’re applying for a job with us, you’ll have fair access to support and adjustments throughout your recruitment journey.
