Job Description
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in data validation and ETL testing across Snowflake, dbt, SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2. This role is focused on ensuring data quality, accuracy, and reliability across source and target systems.
Primary Technical Skills
• Strong experience with Snowflake, dbt, SQL, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, and other database management systems.
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT workflows and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience in data testing, validation, and reconciliation.
• Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform end-to-end data validation across source and target systems.
• Validate dbt models and Snowflake transformations to ensure accurate data processing.
Soft Skills and Domain Knowledge
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for onsite client-facing responsibilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with client stakeholders.
• Insurance domain knowledge is preferred.
Interview Questions
1. How do you validate dbt models and confirm the accuracy of Snowflake transformations? What types of tests do you typically implement?
1. If you find a mismatch between source data and the Snowflake target, how would you perform root cause analysis and complete revalidation?
1. If the source data is in Oracle or SQL Server and the target is in Snowflake, how would you design end-to-end SQL validation? What checks would you include?
