Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data QA/Databricks Implementation Specialist in Juno Beach, FL. Summary: The Data Quality Analyst/Databricks Implementation Specialist plays a key role in advancing the company's enterprise data governance and Databricks Lakehouse strategy. This role partners closely with business data stewards, data owners, and technical teams to translate business data requirements into governed, high-quality datasets within Databricks Unity Catalog. The analyst will support domain onboarding, develop and operationalize data quality rules, perform profiling and analysis, and help implement enterprise standards for metadata, lineage, and semantic consistency. Key Responsibilities: Data Quality & Profiling:
β’ Develop, document, and maintain data quality rules for critical data elements (CDEs)
β’ Perform data profiling, anomaly detection, and root-cause analysis
β’ Partner with data stewards to validate definitions, thresholds, and business rules
β’ Monitor and report on data quality metrics and remediation progress
Databricks Unity Catalog Implementation
β’ Support Unity Catalog rollout across domains, including catalog structure, tagging, and metadata standards
β’ Assist with onboarding domains into the Bronze, Silver, and Gold architecture
β’ Ensure lineage, ownership, and quality rules are embedded into Databricks pipelines
β’ Help implement domain-aligned access controls and sensitivity tagging
Collaboration with Data Stewards & Business Partners:
β’ Work directly with business data stewards to understand data requirements and quality expectations
β’ Translate business meaning into standardized CDEs and steward-approved metadata
β’ Facilitate working sessions to align on semantics, domain boundaries, and data product requirements
β’ Support consistent governance practices across domains
Metadata, Lineage, and Catalog Management:
β’ Maintain high-quality metadata in the enterprise data catalog
Requirements
β’ 3-5 years of experience in data quality, data governance, or data analysis
β’ Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, or similar cloud platforms
β’ Strong understanding of data quality concepts
β’ Experience with metadata catalogs or governance tools
β’ Proficiency with SQL and data analysis
β’ Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog
β’ Familiarity with Medallion Architecture
β’ Exposure to governance frameworks (DAMA, DCAM)
β’ Experience collaborating with data stewards or data owners
β’ Knowledge of data modeling or semantic layers
Success Profile
β’ A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, analytical, and motivated to help build a scalable, enterprise-wide data governance and quality program
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
