Data Reporting Analyst

Job Title: Data Reporting & Analytics Contractor Duration: 6+ months on W2 Location: REMOTE Overview: We are seeking a Data Reporting & Analytics Contractor to design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions that provide actionable insights and support business decision-making. This role also includes responsibilities in analytics governance—ensuring data definitions, metadata, and reporting standards are consistent and trusted across the organization. Key Responsibilities: • Build and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports (Power BI). • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy. • Gather business requirements and optimize reports to meet evolving needs. • Manage and document metadata (table/column descriptions, business definitions). • Ensure consistent metric definitions and present standards to governance stakeholders. • Collaborate with data stewards, owners, and analytics teams to align reports with business goals. • Maintain metadata repositories (e.g., Databricks Unity Catalog, Metric Insights). • Support governance framework improvements and adoption of AI tools for data discovery. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Data/Information Systems, Analytics, or related field. • Experience in data governance, metadata management, or cataloging. • Strong understanding of data modeling, lineage, and business glossary. • Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business teams. • Experience with Power BI, Databricks Unity Catalog, Metric Insights (or similar tools). • Healthcare data experience required; Epic/EHR systems knowledge required. • Familiarity with AI copilots/prompting tools is a plus.
