About the Role We are seeking an experienced Data Science Consultant with a strong logistics and supply chain background to support Advanced Management Solutions (AMS) initiatives. This is a hands-on, client-facing role focused on identifying operational improvement opportunities and delivering data-driven solutions that create measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
• Engage with logistics, operations, and management teams to understand business challenges and objectives.
• Analyse supply chain processes including transport, warehousing, inventory, fulfilment, and network operations.
• Translate business requirements into analytical use cases and project plans.
• Identify, quantify, and prioritise improvement opportunities based on business impact.
• Analyse and model data from sources such as WMS, TMS, ERP, telematics, and shipment data.
• Develop forecasting, optimisation, performance analytics, and machine learning solutions.
• Create dashboards, reports, and KPIs to measure performance and outcomes.
• Present insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support pilots, proof-of-concepts, implementation, and change adoption activities.
Required Experience & Skills
• Proven experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or a similar consulting-focused role.
• Strong logistics/supply chain experience (transport, warehousing, 3PL, retail logistics, fulfilment, or network optimisation).
• Demonstrated stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and workshop facilitation skills.
• Advanced Python and/or R skills.
• Strong SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar visualisation tools.
• Knowledge of statistical modelling, forecasting, optimisation, and machine learning techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analysis into business-focused recommendations.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to articulate business value.
Nice to Have
• Experience with optimisation tools such as OR-Tools, Gurobi, or CPLEX.
• Exposure to large-scale logistics datasets, telematics, IoT, or route optimisation.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or modern cloud data platforms.
• Previous consulting experience within logistics, supply chain, or operations-focused environments.
