Job Description:
Position: ML/NLP/Research Informatics Analyst -Open Position-CA
Type: contract
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
• Develops programs to extract data from various sources.
• Oversee data acquisition and labeling effort to parse and migrate thousands of echo, CT, and MR images and associated EHR from legacy systems to Snowflake datalake using Airflow to facilitate development of ML models
• Extracts various types of free-text clinical information from electronic medical systems including medical images.
• Designs comprehensive quality checking and validation process as need.
• Performs data management and quality controls.
• Leverages existing or new NLP technologies and tools to develop/implement study algorithm.
• Conducts statistical data analysis as need.
• Develops predictive modelling as need.
• Conducts medical imaging analysis as need.
• Analyzes NLP, modeling, imaging results as need.
Required Qualifications:
• Programming experiences with text analysis languages such as Python or/and data analysis programming tools such as R, SAS.
• Excellent analytic and critical thinking skills, writing skills, communication skills, consulting skills, and ability to work within a team.
• Must be an independent self-starter.
• Both efficient and detail-oriented.
Preferred qualifications:
• Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning techniques.
• Experiences with medical terminology, healthcare research and healthcare data.
• Familiar with UNIX/Linux operating systems.
