Role description
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Data Scientist 1. The work will be done onsite full-time in Tucson, AZ. This is a long-term position (24 months) that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $36/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
Cullerton Group is seeking an early-career Data Scientist to support advanced analytics initiatives focused on machine data insights, product support, quality reporting, and customer usage trends. This role will involve data analysis, statistical modeling, and report development to support product development, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. The Data Scientist will work on cross-functional teams and gradually build independence while contributing to multiple analytics projects. This position is ideal for candidates with strong analytical foundations who are eager to grow their skills in applied data science.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to support analytics and reporting initiatives
β’ Develop, validate, and refine statistical models and analytical methods
β’ Build reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI
β’ Support cross-functional project teams by contributing data-driven insights
β’ Apply statistical, analytical, and digital technologies to solve business problems
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
β’ 1β2 years of relevant experience (internships accepted)
β’ Experience with data visualization and analytics tools
β’ Working knowledge of SQL (MSSQL and/or PostgreSQL)
β’ Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
β’ Familiarity with .NET programming languages
β’ Background in data analysis, data engineering, or applied analytics projects
