Data Scientist 2 (Python / ML Tooling)
Location: Mossville, IL (100% onsite)
Pay: $60-$63/hr W2 + medical, dental, vision, 401k match
Duration: 24-month contract
About The Role
• Python-focused developer supporting a machine learning annotation platform used in autonomous vehicle development
• Work on tools that transform raw sensor data (images, 2D/3D data, and point cloud) into structured datasets used to train ML models
• Role sits on a data pipeline team with strong collaboration and ownership over features within the annotation platform
• Emphasis on building tools that are not only functional but intuitive and usable for end users
What You Will Do
• Build and maintain Python-based data pipelines for ML and annotation workflows
• Enhance UI/UX and interface features within the annotation platform
• Work with image data and 2D/3D data processing workflows
• Integrate APIs and support connectivity between systems and tools
• Contribute to code reviews, pull requests, and team development practices using GitHub
• Partner with engineers to improve tooling, workflows, and overall usability of the platform
Required Skills
• Strong Python development experience in a production environment
• Experience with GitHub, including pull requests and version control workflows
• Exposure to machine learning pipelines, annotation tools, or data processing workflows
• Ability to translate user or stakeholder requirements into functional, user-friendly tools
Preferred Skills
• API development and system integration experience
• CI/CD or Docker experience
• Experience with image processing or computer vision workflows
• Exposure to 3D data, point cloud data, or sensor-based systems
