Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Scientist / Developer to join our incentives team. This hybrid role combines strong analytics and modeling expertise with hands-on technical development to support the standardization of incentive models, advanced performance analytics, backend modernization, and the build-out and maintenance of a new web-based incentive portal. You will transform complex sales and incentive data into scalable, accurate solutions that drive better decision-making across our sales channels while working in a highly agile environment that leverages AI tools to increase productivity.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain complex incentive models, performance metrics, calculation logic, and advanced analytics frameworks
• Integrate data from multiple sources and lead the transition of existing Alteryx workflows into scalable, automated solutions using AWS Redshift and related technologies
• Develop and maintain automated email generation pipelines producing 750K+ personalized HTML emails per month
• Build and deploy serverless microservices (Lambda, API Gateway) for lightweight data collection and automation tasks
• Build and support backend systems and data integration processes for the new web-based incentive portal
• Standardize incentive structures and performance analytics across sales channels
• Optimize data pipelines, data models, and backend processes to improve scalability, performance, and data integrity
• Develop dashboards, reports, forecasts, and ad hoc analytics to deliver actionable insights to sales leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical and analytical solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve data quality, modeling, and performance issues
• Work in an AI-first development environment - using AI coding assistants (Kiro, Copilot) daily for code generation, debugging, and data exploration. Contribute to building AI-augmented automation pipelines.
• Work flexibly across analytics, and development tasks in a dynamic, agile environment with shifting priorities
Required Qualifications
• Expert-level SQL skills (T-SQL and/or Redshift SQL), including complex query writing, stored procedure development, performance tuning, and data modeling
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, transformation, automation, and building serverless functions (AWS Lambda)
• Experience designing and developing data integration processes, data models, and backend systems
• Demonstrated ability to work with AWS Redshift and S3 in cloud data environments
• Ability to transform business requirements into scalable technical and analytical solutions
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting requirements
• Excellent communication skills – able to explain complex analyses and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Education
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology or business related field, or equivalent experience
