Job Title: Data Scientist Job Location: San Francisco, CA (HYBRID) Term: Contract opportunity Must have:- Data analysis and experiment design (user level A/B experiment design and geo-experiment design) Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Analyst with deep expertise in data analysis, experimental design, and causal inference for a short-term leave coverage role. The position is hands-on, focused on measuring causal impact across global marketing initiatives within the Clients Platforms & Devices ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on Google Play. The ideal candidate excels at designing, executing, and evaluating complex experiments at scale. Key Responsibilities: • Lead end-to-end experimental design, including user-level A/B tests, geo-experiments, and incrementality measurement. • Build and evaluate causal inference models with strong statistical rigor. • Run high-volume experiments (50–100+) and maintain global consistency. • Independently analyze large datasets using Python, R, and SQL. • Develop experimentation playbooks and improve frameworks. • Troubleshoot failed/noisy experiments and apply bias corrections. • Optional: Build dashboards (Tableau) and light data pipelines. Must-Have Skills: • Strong data analysis and advanced experimental design experience (user-level A/B and geo-experiment design). • 4–5+ years of intensive experimentation; senior profiles (10–12+ years) welcome. • Proven ability to design and run manual causal experiments beyond platform-based A/B tools. • Deep knowledge of statistics, causal inference, and incrementality measurement. • Hands-on coding proficiency in Python, R, and SQL. • Experience with matched-market tests, geo-experiments (TBR, BSTS, Causal Impact), noise/bias correction, and experiment recovery. • Ability to independently run analyses and communicate causal findings clearly.
