Hello Everyone, Title: Junior Data Scientist Location: Charlotte, NC Type: Contract Duration: Long-term Overview: We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join our team and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is passionate about data, has strong analytical skills, and is eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: • Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data. • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends and insights. • Build and evaluate predictive models using machine learning techniques. • Assist in developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business) to understand requirements. • Support senior data scientists in deploying models and improving pipelines. • Stay up to date with emerging tools, technologies, and best practices in data science. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field. • Solid understanding of statistics, probability, and basic machine learning concepts. • Proficiency in Python or R; knowledge of SQL for data querying. • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, seaborn). • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. • Eagerness to learn and ability to work in a team environment. Nice-to-Have: • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). • Exposure to big data tools (Spark, Hadoop). • Internship or academic project experience in data analysis or machine learning.
