Data Scientist 4 Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Data Scientist for a contract position in Redmond, WA. Opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Position Summary: This is a Marketing Data Science role requiring marketing analytics experience. The position involves measuring what drives player acquisition, reactivation, and long-term value across marketing channels. You will own campaign post-mortems, attribution modelling, and marketing funnel analysis, connecting upstream spend and impressions to downstream engagement and monetization outcomes. Partnering with Growth Marketing and Finance, you will inform budget decisions and build measurement frameworks that enhance marketing effectiveness. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigour with marketing intuition and can translate complex attribution results into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders. This role will support performance marketing initiatives through campaign experimentation, helping evaluate opportunities the team has not previously leveraged. We are looking for a professional with direct marketing experience in digital products, preferably in gaming. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in stakeholder engagement, presenting insights, influencing decisions, and driving conversations. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: • Collaborate with senior management, technical, and client teams to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, and best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage, and analysis strategies. • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions, specify identifiers of databases to management systems, or direct others in coding descriptions. • Design, implement, automate, and maintain large-scale enterprise data ETL processes. • Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes. • Test programs or databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications. • You will partner with marketing, business, and finance teams to understand and analyze digital marketing campaigns, understand KPIs, create measurement plans, and drive post-mortem analyses for campaigns. You will build segmentation and KPI foundations for performance marketing and collaborate with analytics engineers on building automations and reporting. Qualifications: • A bachelor''s degree in a technical field, such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field required. • 8-10 years of applicable experience required. • Experience with database technologies. • Knowledge of the ETL process. • Proficiency in at least one scripting language. • Strong written and oral communication skills. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Demonstrated history of success. • A desire to work with data and help businesses make better data-driven decisions. • Marketing analytics • SQL/Python • Databricks is strongly preferred but not required • Experience with Databricks is preferred.
