Location: Raleigh, NC (HYBRID-Tue/Thurs onsite only)
Duration: 12+ months
Job Responsibilities:
• Biology background is a great to have, few years is okay

• RNA-Seq.

• The Genomics and Integrative Biology team at consists of data scientists and biologists collaborating in the development and application of genomic technologies for early drug discovery.
• In this role, you’ll apply published and internal methods for the integrative modelling of data from diverse genome-wide, often sequencing-based, assays for the purposes of therapeutic hypothesis generation and evaluation.
Responsibilities:
• Perform diverse modelling tasks, typically with sequencing data or data matrices with sequencing counts as input
• Support visualization of data from complex biological assays
• Have accountability for delivering objectives through effective collaboration within the
• Genomics and Integrative Biology team
• Communicate effectively within team, including progress, issues, timelines and impact
Experience
• +4 years of experience in command-line environment and Client scripting
• +4 years of experience coding in Python
• Coursework in parametric statistics
• M.S. degree in bioinformatics or other mathematical or scientific field with evidence of strong
• computational experience
• Demonstrated experience in sequence biology and high-throughput sequencing data
• Experience with git
Preferred
• Track record working with scientific or complex structured data
• Experience with Jupyter notebooks or R markdown, Docker, and both Python and R
• Lab experience in or coursework in molecular or cellular biology or genetics
• Familiarity with bioinformatics workflows or laboratory data systems
