Data Scientist

Data Scientist (Remote) We are partnering with a large enterprise organization seeking a hands-on Data Scientist to join a growing machine learning team focused on customer acquisition, retention, and next-best-offer strategy initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building machine learning models that directly influence business outcomes. The team is looking for a curious, business-minded problem solver who can think critically about customer behavior, experiment with different modeling approaches, and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. What You’ll Be Doing • Build and train machine learning models from scratch • Improve and optimize predictive models tied to customer engagement and targeting • Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and model tuning • Select appropriate algorithms based on business use cases • Partner with business stakeholders to understand goals and translate findings into actionable insights • Deliver model outputs and recommendations to downstream teams • Work within a modern AWS SageMaker environment alongside Data Engineering and MLOps teams What We’re Looking For • 3–6 years of hands-on Data Science or Machine Learning experience • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, model training, and evaluation • Experience building models tied to measurable business impact • Proficiency with Python and SQL • Experience with tools/frameworks such as Scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, SageMaker, etc. • Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, business-friendly language • Strong critical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving mindset Nice to Have • Experience with customer analytics, recommendation systems, propensity models, churn prediction, uplift modeling, or response modeling • Experience within financial services, fintech, ecommerce, or customer-focused analytics environments At Brooksource, relationships are the foundation of everything we do.
