Role description
Job Description
This role plays a vital part in uncovering performance trends, diagnosing customer-impacting issues, and spotting emerging hotspots. By transforming complex datasets into clear insights, you’ll help guide our engineering teams to root causes faster and with greater precision. Success requires both technical depth and investigative problem-solving—treating each challenge like a data science investigation that connects patterns, relationships, and root causes.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze large, diverse datasets from network operations, customer feedback, service quality metrics, and device telemetry.
• Compile complex data sets into actionable results by digging into raw data, merging outputs across disparate systems, and extracting insights that drive engineering action.
• Develop models and visualizations that highlight patterns, anomalies, and high-priority focus areas.
• Troubleshoot technical issues such as incremental pull volume, call volume data flow, ticket tracking, and database write-through logic.
• Collaborate with network engineers and operations teams to translate findings into actionable technical resolutions.
• Build dashboards and reporting tools to monitor emerging trends and measure remediation progress.
• Communicate insights clearly to both technical teams and client stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making.
• Participate in rapid-response investigations to assist with urgent or widespread service issues.
Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field—ideally in telecom, cable, or other large-scale network environments.
• Deep expertise in SQL and relational databases, with proven ability to manage and analyze large, complex data sets.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong foundation in statistics and machine learning; experience with time-series and geospatial data is a plus.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills to identify data flow and system integration issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable narratives.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in cross-functional, fast-paced settings.
