About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to design and deliver end-to-end AI/ML solutions that drive business value across procurement, materials, and financial domains. This role spans the full data lifecycleβfrom raw data ingestion and pipeline engineering to model development, deployment, and monitoring.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and is equally comfortable building scalable data pipelines and advanced machine learning or agentic AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design and implement scalable data pipelines to ingest procurement, materials, and financial data from enterprise systems into cloud-based analytics platforms
β’ Develop, train, validate, and deploy machine learning models for use cases such as spend classification, commodity categorization, materials de-duplication, and market intelligence enrichment
β’ Build and maintain medallion architecture layers (Bronze/Silver/Gold) to ensure data quality, lineage, and governance
β’ Implement agentic AI workflows for multi-step reasoning, classification, and end-to-end procurement tracking
β’ Collaborate with SAP functional teams to extract, interpret, and translate procurement and materials data into analytical solutions
β’ Manage the full ML lifecycle, including model registration, versioning, monitoring, and retraining
β’ Create dashboards and reporting layers to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders
β’ Partner with cross-functional SMEs to analyze complex supply chain and procurement challenges and deliver data-driven solutions
β’ Conduct ad hoc analyses and support data mining initiatives across multiple business units
β’ Follow Agile/SAFe methodologies, contributing to sprint ceremonies, backlog management, and technical documentation
Required Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
β’ 4+ years of combined experience in data science and data engineering
β’ Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
β’ Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud AI/ML platform (AWS, Google Cloud, or Databricks)
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Masterβs degree in a quantitative discipline
β’ Experience with SAP S/4HANA or ERP-integrated analytics
β’ Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and LLM-based workflow automation
β’ Experience in the utility or energy industry
β’ Exposure to Agile/SAFe delivery models
