Rate: £450-£550 Outside IR35
Contract duration: 3 months (Initially)
Start date: January start date!
I'm working with a cutting-edge tech business building a next-generation data platform, and they're looking for a Data Scientist / Data Engineer to join at a critical early stage. This is a hands-on role working closely with the CTO, owning the design and delivery of end-to-end data pipelines and advanced AI-driven capabilities.
You'll be responsible for ingesting and transforming unstructured data, building scalable pipelines, and embedding machine learning, NLP, and semantic search into a modular, cloud-native architecture.
Key skills required:
• Strong Python for data processing, pipelines, and ML integration
• Experience building end-to-end data pipelines (ETL/ELT, orchestration)
• Solid knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases (data lakes, metadata, graph models)
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with distributed data processing (Spark / Flink)
• Foundations in machine learning / NLP (embeddings, summarisation, vector search)
• Containerised environments using Docker & Kubernetes
• Strong focus on data quality, security & Scalability
This is a high-impact role where you'll shape core architecture, influence technical direction, and work on genuinely complex data and AI challenges from day one.
Our client has a 1 stage interview process and will interview this week for the right candidate!
