β’ This is a three-month contract opportunity for a Data Scientist to join a dynamic team within a financial services organization. The role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to the London site (1-2 days per week). The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting analytics and strategic initiatives related to customer engagement and risk mitigation. This position is inside IR35, and applications are accepted through an online process only. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the banking or financial sector, with a strong background in data analysis, visualization, and model assessment. You will collaborate with internal teams and third-party resources to enhance existing models and develop reporting tools that improve understanding of customer behavior and engagement.

β’ Key Responsibilities

β’ Coordinate ongoing measurement frameworks related to debit spend engagement activities and current account performance metrics.
β’ Assess the efficacy of the company's flight risk model mitigation strategies, providing insights and recommendations to enhance performance.
β’ Support third-party resources in overlaying flight risk pan data onto customer-level views, ensuring the overlay process is streamlined and user-friendly.
β’ Track and report success metrics and KPIs associated with current account engagement initiatives under the strategic accelerator fund.
β’ Utilize company data to develop visual dashboards and reports that present new customer engagement insights from onboarding up to 90 days.
β’ Develop clear, accessible reports and visualizations to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Connect analytics center of excellence with insights and analytics teams to consolidate findings, share insights, and ensure alignment.
β’ Assist in the continuous improvement of data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
β’ Support ad-hoc data analysis requests and contribute to strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.
β’ Ensure data quality and integrity across all projects, maintaining meticulous documentation.

β’ Required Qualifications

β’ Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
β’ Strong proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau).
β’ Experience with model assessment, validation, and performance improvement.
β’ Familiarity with customer engagement metrics and financial risk models.
β’ Ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate insights effectively.
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
β’ Experience working with third-party data overlays and integrating external data sources.
β’ Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards relevant to financial data.
β’ Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
