Our client, a telecommunications company in Charlotte, NC, needs a Data Scientist for an initial six-month contract, likely to extend or convert to full-time. Working in a hybrid model four days/week onsite, the Data Scientist will utilize analytical, statistical, and programming skills to clean, aggregate, and analyze large data sets and interpret results. This position requires a strong command of statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms, as well as a demonstrated practical ability to determine where to invest time, synthesize actionable findings across diverse assignments, and present findings to audiences with diverse agendas and varying levels of technical expertise.
Required Skills:
β’ 5+ yearβs experience with data management, manipulation, and modeling
β’ Extensive experience using a data science toolkit: Python, R
β’ Familiarity with the properties of the major families of machine learning techniques (regression, decision trees, clustering, SVMs, neural networks, time series)
β’ Must have experience with machine learning for anomaly detection
β’ Strong knowledge of Supervised ML algorithms
β’ Strong communications and collaboration skills
