Role description
Are you an experienced Data Scientist with a desire to excel? If so, then TALENT Software Services may have the job for you! Our client is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to work at their company in Redmond, WA. Position Summary: In this data scientist role, you will apply advanced analytics, experimentation, and predictive modelling to optimise monetisation across three revenue pillars: subscriptions, marketplace content sales, and creator on demand. This role involves building LTV models, analyzing cross-product spend behaviour, designing and reading out A/B tests on pricing and UX changes, and surfacing insights that drive revenue growth while protecting player experience. The ideal candidate has strong statistical foundations, fluency in Python and SQL on Databricks, and experience modeling user spending behavior in games or subscription products. This role will contribute to digital monetization, downloadable content, and expanding user-generated content offerings. The successful candidate will support the expansion of the Marketplace to better compete in the user-generated content space, making this an especially interesting role for candidates familiar with gaming platforms. The ideal resume would contain experience in digital subscription-based or streaming services. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: โ€ข Work with senior management, technical, and client teams to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, and best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage, and analysis strategies. โ€ข Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of databases to management systems or direct others in coding descriptions. โ€ข Design, implement, automate, and maintain large-scale enterprise data ETL processes. โ€ข Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes. โ€ข Test programs or databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications. Qualifications: โ€ข Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field required. โ€ข 8-10 years of applicable experience required. โ€ข Experience with database technologies. โ€ข Knowledge of the ETL process. โ€ข Knowledge of at least one scripting language. โ€ข Strong written and oral communication skills. โ€ข Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. โ€ข Demonstrated history of success. โ€ข Desire to work with data and help businesses make better data-driven decisions. โ€ข Strong in business analytics and data science focused on post-sale monetization of digital experiences. โ€ข Python/Databricks (4 years) โ€ข Presentation and communication (5 years) โ€ข Attribution and causal inference (4 years)
