Senior Scientific Data Scientist / Python Engineer Oxfordshire, Hybrid | Outside IR35 The Company They are a specialist biotech-focused organisation supporting pharmaceutical and biotech partners with high-quality experimental data. Operating in a fast-paced CRO-style environment, they run large-scale assay platforms that generate complex, decision-critical datasets. Their culture is highly collaborative, with scientists and engineers working closely to deliver meaningful insights to clients. The Role and Deliverables • Build, maintain, and optimise Python-based data pipelines for bioassay and experimental data. • Translate laboratory workflows into robust, automated analytical processes. • Deliver reliable data quality control, normalisation, and modelling outputs. • Implement and refine dose response and curve-fitting analyses. • Improve data structure, reproducibility, and scalability across the analytics platform. • Support the clear interpretation and presentation of results to internal teams and external clients. Your Skills and Experience • Strong experience working with drug discovery, biotech, or CRO environments. • Hands-on capability with bioassay or experimental scientific data. • Advanced Python skills, including Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy. • Proven ability to build and maintain data pipelines and automated workflows. • Experience with statistical analysis, data validation, and curve-fitting models. • Confidence collaborating closely with scientists and explaining analytical outputs clearly.
