Role description
Data Scientist β Marketing Analytics Team
β’ 100% remote β any US time zone
β’ Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
Duration: 5+ months to start; extendable role
Pay Rate: $70-75 per hour W2
β’ Overview: Drive operational efficiency, optimize campaign strategy, and enhance tooling infrastructure. This role combines tactical problem-solving with strategic influence, offering the opportunity to shape data-driven decisions that impact marketing performance at scale.
β’ Analyze campaign performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities. Translate insights into actionable recommendations to refine targeting and budget allocation
β’ Diagnose bottlenecks in marketing workflows (e.g., reporting) and design scalable solutions (e.g., automation programs, dashboards).
β’ Build and refine tools to streamline data pipelines, reporting systems, and cross-functional collaboration (e.g., SQL, BI tools, workflow orchestration).
β’ Partner with Marketing, Engineering, and Product teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
β’ Transform raw data into strategic narratives that inform marketing decisions and operational improvements.
Requirements
β’ Background: 2+ years of experience as a data scientist
β’ Skills: strong SQL; data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker); experience with marketing data / ads / campaigns etc.
β’ Education: Bach degree required; advanced degree a plus
β’ Industry: CPG, large tech, etc.
