Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with strong Palantir Foundry and GenAI expertise to support advanced analytics and AI development for insurance applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Foundry-based data workflows, TypeScript/React for custom dashboarding, and familiarity with underwriting and claims processes.
This is a remote role for a technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced, enterprise-grade environment and brings a cross-functional mindset bridging data engineering, application development, and machine learning.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Palantir Foundry workflows independently, including data pipelines, transforms, and object modeling.
Build and extend custom dashboards and plugins using TypeScript in Palantir’s React-based application layer.
Collaborate with product, business, and technical teams to deliver high-impact data science and analytics solutions in the insurance domain.
Contribute to GenAI initiatives, applying LLMs and AI-powered tools to augment existing decision systems.
Support model interpretation and analytics workflows, ensuring outputs align with business logic and insurance-specific use cases.
Document and maintain clean, reusable code and templates in Palantir environments.
Leverage Palantir AIP for building interactive, secure AI workflows (a plus).
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
6–10 years of overall experience in data science, engineering, or advanced analytics roles.
Hands-on experience working independently within Palantir Foundry, including ontology, transforms, and code repositories.
TypeScript proficiency for building Foundry applications with React-based UIs, dashboards, and plugins.
Strong understanding of data workflows, analytics pipelines, and data modeling.
Familiarity with underwriting and claims workflows in the insurance domain.
Solid collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on predictive ML models and their integration into business workflows.
GenAI experience, including LLM implementation or fine-tuning, is a strong plus.
Prior exposure to Palantir AIP (Artificial Intelligence Platform) is highly desirable.
Experience working in regulated industries, especially insurance, is a plus.
Knowledge of cloud-based data services and version-controlled DevOps practices.
Application Process: Please submit your resume along with a short overview of your experience in Palantir Foundry, TypeScript development, and any GenAI or insurance-related projects. We look forward to learning how you can contribute to our growing team.
