Role description
BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Corporate Data Scientist in Dallas, TX Position Title: Data Scientist Location: Dallas, TX Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Expected Duration: Till April 30th 2026 (potentially extended) Pay rate: $50 to $54/hr on W2 Job Type: Contract: 40 hrs/week Job description: Job Title: Data Scientist – AI/ML Pricing Engine Essential Job Functions • Design and develop AI/ML pricing and recommendation models. • Build price elasticity, margin optimization, and dynamic pricing models. • Optimize pricing strategies through experimentation and iteration. • Integrate business rules into machine learning workflows. • Deploy and scale models using Amazon SageMaker. • Implement MLOps practices for monitoring and retraining. • Analyze price sensitivity, competition, and customer behavior. • Develop segmentation strategies for differentiated pricing. • Create scenario analysis frameworks for pricing decisions. • Monitor model performance against business KPIs. • Translate pricing strategies into quantitative models. • Partner with data engineers to ensure data quality. • Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders. • Document models and assumptions in Confluence. Technical Expertise • 5–7 years of experience in data science or machine learning. • Proven experience deploying ML models in production. • Experience with pricing optimization or recommendation systems. • Advanced Python skills using pandas, scikit-learn, and PySpark. • Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or XGBoost. • Strong SQL and GitHub version control skills. • Experience with AWS services and Amazon SageMaker. • Familiarity with Databricks or big data platforms. Other Qualifications • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work effectively in agile, cross-functional teams. • Self-directed with strong time management skills. • Clear communication of technical results to non-technical audiences. • Industry experience in automotive, manufacturing, or e-commerce preferred. • Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field preferred. • Knowledge of optimization or causal inference methods a plus. • AWS or Databricks certifications a plus. Work Environment • On-site work in the Dallas/Fort Worth area at least three days per week. • Flexibility required to support agile delivery and stakeholders.
