Role description
Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Data Scientist - II (Associate)Β to join our pharmaceutical client in ,Rahway NJ. This is a 12-month contract to start with the potential for extensions.
Pay: $62.00 - $72.00/hr;Β W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.Β Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Description
Responsibilities:
The Companion Diagnostics group generates a high volume of biomarker datasets across Clientβs oncology program. These biomarker datasets reside in our clinical database repository, and they are frequently used for efficacy subgroup analyses.
Prior to these analyses, the Companion Diagnostic contractor will review these biomarker datasets and quality assurance reports, identifying potential quality events, and resolving these quality events with both internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
β’ Candidate must have a Bachelorβs degree in science or related areas of study; will also consider Master's or PhD degree.
β’ Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not required.
Minimum Experience level:
β’ BS with 5years minimum
β’ MS with 3years minimum
β’ PHD with 1year
β’ Life sciences degree preferred.
Functional Expertise:
β’ Capable of analyzing large datasets and identifying quality events within these large datasets.
β’ General scientific background: biomarker experience will be shown preference.
β’ Capable of working independently.
β’ Identifies and resolves technical and operational problems.
β’ Collaborates with key stakeholder to review and resolve quality events.
β’ Administers decisions guided by policies, procedures, and business plans and seeking guidance from leadership; when appropriate.
Must haves:
β’ Life sciences degree
β’ NGS/genomics/biomarkers data sets
β’ Large data sets exeprience
β’ Quality assurance of large data sets
β’ Working with different partners to understand the large data sets.
β’ Software: Excel skills; advance excel skills preferred.

β’ Accountability.
β’ Decision making but consults with next-level manager on these decisions.

β’ Candidates must be available to work full-time for 12 months from the hire date.
