Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist IV to develop innovative, data-driven solutions through exploratory analysis of complex, high-dimensional datasets. This role will focus on biosensor data analysis and supporting future biosensing research and development initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in signal processing, sensor data, and advanced analytics to drive product innovation and prototype development.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Execute, debug, and optimize distributed computing workflows for large-scale metric computation, modeling, and analysis.
β’ Apply expertise in statistics, machine learning, simulation, and advanced mathematics to identify patterns and generate actionable insights.
β’ Design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms for extracting value from biosensor data.
β’ Generate and test hypotheses, analyze experimental results, and support product experimentation.
β’ Collaborate with product engineers to transition prototypes into production-ready solutions and scalable features.
β’ Create compelling visualizations to guide R&D strategy and decision-making.
Top 3 Must-Have Skills
1. Hardware Sensor & Biosensor Experience
β’ Direct experience analyzing biosensor or similar real-world hardware data.
1. Signal Processing Expertise
β’ Strong background in time-domain signal processing and/or medical imaging systems.
1. Advanced Programming & Data Manipulation
β’ 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python, R, MATLAB, or SQL.
β’ Proficiency with scientific computing libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
β’ Experience presenting statistical and machine learning results to technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
β’ Proficiency with visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Pyplot, seaborn, or ggplot2.
β’ Experience working with large-scale datasets.
β’ Familiarity with dplyr, caret, or similar analytics frameworks.
β’ Advanced degree in a relevant field.
