Position: Data Science Expert
Type: Hourly Contract
Compensation: $70–$100/hour (based on experience, with potential bonus incentives)
Location: Remote
Duration: 5–6 weeks (with possible extension)
Commitment: ~20 hrs/week (flexible, part-time)
Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)
• Evaluate AI-generated data analysis outputs for accuracy, completeness, and statistical rigor.
• Perform statistical analysis, exploratory data analysis, and modeling to validate AI performance on structured and unstructured datasets.
• Design prompts and develop detailed evaluation rubrics for fine-grained reward modeling.
• Generate gold-standard responses including Python-based visualizations, explanatory reports, and executable code (Jupyter notebooks).
• Translate data scientist reasoning and decision-making into structured, gradable criteria for AI agents.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI research teams to refine evaluation frameworks and improve AI model performance.
Requirements / Ideal Qualifications
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong professional experience in a data science role.
• Strong proficiency with Python and data science libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn).
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization.
• Ability to identify patterns, trends, and associations in large datasets and present insights clearly.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to document and explain data-driven reasoning.
• Prior experience with AI evaluation, annotation, or prompt design is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks not supported).
