Their reputation is built on pioneering innovation, driving growth, and delivering unparalleled results worldwide. Data Scientist / ML Engineer 8-10 years of experience. (Active U.S. Security Clearance Required) Location: Dayton, OH (Onsite) Duration: 3+ Months Contract – Extendable. We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in delivering data-driven solutions for mission-critical operations. This role requires a hands-on expert in machine learning, big data engineering, and large-scale data processing, ideally with experience in classified environments. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models on large-scale datasets. • Engineer data pipelines, including HDFS ingestion and parquet file handling. • Optimize and manage complex SQL queries using Greenplum or PostgreSQL. • Build and manage external tables, ensuring performance and scalability. • Apply statistical and ML methods to solve real-world problems. • Utilize GPML (Greenplum Machine Learning) for model development and deployment. • Automate ML workflows using scripting languages (Python, R, or Julia). • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders. Required Qualifications: • Active U.S. Security Clearance – Secret (minimum); Top Secret preferred. • Hands-on experience with training and deploying machine learning models. • Proficiency with big data engineering, including handling parquet files and HDFS ingestion. • Expertise in SQL, particularly with Greenplum or PostgreSQL. • Experience working with large-scale datasets (1PB+ preferred). • Practical knowledge and experience using GPML (Greenplum Machine Learning). • Strong scripting skills in Python, R, or Julia for building ML workflows.
