Role description
I'm partnering with a well-established enterprise organization that is looking for a Data Scientist to help design, build, deploy, and monitor production machine learning solutions that solve large-scale operational business problems. This is an opportunity to own the entire machine learning lifecycle, from partnering with business stakeholders to understand problems, through feature engineering, model development, deployment, and ongoing optimization. If you enjoy building ML solutions from scratch rather than maintaining existing models, I'd love to connect.
What You'll Be Doing
• Design, build, validate, deploy, and monitor production machine learning models.
• Develop end-to-end ML solutions, including feature engineering, model development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where machine learning can improve operations.
• Analyze large datasets using Python and SQL to uncover actionable insights.
• Build predictive, classification, clustering, regression, forecasting, and optimization models.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize and maintain machine learning solutions.
• Continuously improve model performance through experimentation, monitoring, and tuning.
What They're Looking For
• 3+ years of professional Data Science experience (5+ preferred).
• Master's degree in a STEM field preferred
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience building and deploying machine learning models into production.
• Experience with the full machine learning lifecycle and MLOps.
• Solid understanding of statistics and machine learning algorithms.
• Experience using Git.
Nice to Have
• AWS, Azure, or GCP experience (AWS preferred).
• Snowflake and modern cloud data platform experience.
• Experience with experiment tracking, model lifecycle management, or Snowflake.
• Background building operational optimization or forecasting models.
Location: Remote (U.S. candidates preferred working MST, CST, or PST hours)
Duration: 12-month contract with strong potential for extension.
If you have experience building production machine learning solutions and are interested in learning more, please apply.
