Data Scientist (Only W2)

Position: Data Scientist Location: Hybrid (3 days a week onsite in Cupertino, CA or New York City, NY) Duration: 9+ Months Contract Requirements: • 10+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, and data-driven decision-making roles • Strong business acumen with ability to think strategically and execute operational plans • Self-starter mindset; highly driven, accountable, and energetic team contributor • Proven experience partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes without direct authority • Excellent communication skills; simplify complex data into clear, compelling narratives • Background in consulting or fast-paced, customer-facing analytical environments • Expertise in SQL, Python, or R for data extraction, analysis, and modeling • Hands-on experience with visualization tools like Tableau for storytelling and reporting • Strong knowledge of applied statistics and machine learning techniques • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative fields such as Economics, Finance, or Statistics • 15+ years of experience preferred, ideally within payments or fintech domain • Ability to solve ambiguous problems and translate analysis into business actions • Experience leading large-scale strategic or analytics transformation initiatives • Master’s degree in a related quantitative or analytical discipline preferred
