Duration: 12-month contract (W2, not eligible for C2C)
Pay: $74-79/hr
This position focuses on building and delivering end-to-end AI and machine learning solutions, spanning the full lifecycle from data ingestion and pipeline development to model creation, deployment, and monitoring. The role requires a versatile professional who can seamlessly move between data engineering and advanced analytics, and who is comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop scalable data pipelines to ingest and process procurement, materials, and financial data from enterprise systems into cloud-based analytics platforms
• Build, train, validate, and deploy machine learning models for use cases such as spend classification, commodity categorization, materials deduplication, and data enrichment
• Develop and manage layered data architectures (e.g., Bronze/Silver/Gold) to ensure high data quality, traceability, and governance
• Implement agentic AI workflows to support multi-step reasoning, classification tasks, and end-to-end procurement tracking scenarios
• Partner with ERP and functional teams to extract, interpret, and translate business data into actionable analytical solutions
• Manage the full ML lifecycle, including model registration, versioning, deployment, monitoring, and retraining
• Create dashboards and reporting solutions that deliver clear, actionable insights to stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional subject matter experts to solve complex supply chain and procurement challenges using data-driven approaches
• Perform exploratory data analysis and support ad hoc data requests across multiple business units
• Operate within Agile/SAFe frameworks, contributing to sprint planning, backlog management, and technical documentation
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience spanning data engineering and data science
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Databricks)
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in a quantitative discipline
• Experience working with ERP systems or enterprise data integration
• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and LLM-driven automation
• Background in utilities, energy, or similar industries
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery environments
