About the Role
Advertising is a primary revenue driver for our platform, and we have an ambitious vision to scale it into a world-class business. With highly engaged and passionate user communities, we are uniquely positioned to build a differentiated and high-impact advertising ecosystem.
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Ads Data Science team and help drive innovation across ads targeting, relevance, marketplace optimization, and measurement. This role will focus on applying advanced data science and machine learning techniques to improve advertiser outcomes and overall platform performance.
What Youβll Do
β’ Design, develop, and implement data science solutions to enhance advertiser experience and platform performance
β’ Analyze large-scale datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights
β’ Build and maintain data assets such as datasets, dashboards, and reporting tools
β’ Develop reporting frameworks to track key metrics and performance drivers
β’ Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to define problems and translate them into scalable solutions
β’ Apply machine learning techniques for prediction, anomaly detection, and pattern recognition
β’ Generate strategic insights to guide product direction and business decisions
β’ Communicate findings clearly to cross-functional stakeholders
What Weβre Looking For
β’ MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
β’ 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related domain
β’ Strong foundation in statistical modeling, machine learning, and experimental design
β’ Hands-on experience with causal inference and A/B testing methodologies
β’ Experience working with large-scale data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Hive, or BigQuery
β’ Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
β’ Proficiency in Python or R
β’ Experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
Nice to Have
β’ Experience in advertising, ad tech, or marketing analytics
β’ Familiarity with auction systems, bidding strategies, or recommendation systems
β’ Experience working on user-facing products or marketplace platforms
