Role description
Job Title: Data Scientist Job Description We are seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and data-driven solutions, focusing on developing and implementing effective reporting and analytics capabilities. You will leverage advanced analytical skills, build insightful reports, and utilize market intelligence and predictive modeling to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, aiding in strategic decision-making. Responsibilities โ€ข Work with the data and metrics analyst to pull data from various sources, analyze and interpret data, and help leadership make decisions to drive business forward. โ€ข Translate manual, repetitive Excel reports into dashboards and metrics. โ€ข Lead and design initiatives that are not fully defined, showing measurable success. โ€ข Identify areas of opportunity, develop, and transform data and artifact visualization. โ€ข Communicate effectively with executive leadership and prepare strategically designed materials for targeted audiences. โ€ข Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness. โ€ข Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to interpret data, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs). โ€ข Provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving service, procurement, cost savings, and more. โ€ข Collaborate with IT, supply chain, and other teams to implement analytics platforms and automation tools. โ€ข Identify and integrate new technologies like AI and machine learning to enhance forecasting, demand planning, and supply chain visibility. โ€ข Lead initiatives to streamline purchasing service processes. Essential Skills โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. โ€ข 5+ years of experience as a data scientist or analyst. โ€ข Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and database concepts, with experience dealing with large amounts of data. โ€ข Experience with ERP tools such as SAP. โ€ข Experience with AI, machine learning, and automation tools. โ€ข Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Think Cell, and Qlik Sense. โ€ข Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. โ€ข Ability to articulate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Additional Skills & Qualifications โ€ข Master's Degree (nice to have). โ€ข Creative thinker willing to think outside of the box. โ€ข Ability to formulate solutions and tell stories with data, summarizing findings effectively.
