• Job Title: Data Scientist – Simulation Developer
• Location: Remote
• Duration: 09 Months (possibilities of extension or conversion to FTE)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Simulation Developer with strong Java development experience using AnyLogic. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable simulation models and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Top 3 Must-Have Skills
• Simulation
• AnyLogic experience (required – manager will not train on this skill)
• SQL
A few years of post-graduation experience is required.
Basic Qualifications
• Master’s degree OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience OR
• Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience OR
• High School Diploma / GED with 8 years of experience
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and deliver solutions to perform system-of-systems discrete event simulations for complex operational and supply chain processes using AnyLogic
• Follow and contribute to standards and best practices for re-usable, integrated, and automated simulation models
• Design and create re-usable simulation, optimization, and data science libraries
• Address complex, ambiguous, and high-impact process flow simulation problems
• Use advanced statistical and simulation tools and develop code using Java or Python for data analysis, simulation, and modeling algorithms
• Communicate simulation results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including through intuitive UIs
• Write white papers and technical documentation detailing simulation approaches, outcomes, and recommendations
• Translate modeling insights into operational activities for the broader organization
• • Promote data-driven decision making and advanced analytics techniques
