Role description
Duration: 6+ Months Location: 100% remote Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Data Scientist, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges. Responsibilities β€’ Gather and assess business information needs and prepare system requirements β€’ Perform analyses, development, and evaluation of data mining in a data warehouse environment which includes data design, database architecture, Meta data, and repository creation β€’ Use data mining and data analysis tools β€’ Review and validate data loaded into the data warehouse for accuracy β€’ Interact with user community to produce reporting requirements β€’ Provide technical consulting to users of the various data warehouses and advise users on conflicts and inappropriate data usage β€’ Prototyping solutions, prepare test scripts, and conduct tests and for data replication, extraction, loading, cleansing, and data modeling for data warehouses β€’ Maintain knowledge of software tools, languages, scripts, and shells that effectively support the data warehouse environment in different operating system environments β€’ Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code β€’ Participate in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation, and buy versus build recommendations Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field, or equivalent work experience β€’ Typically has 5 - 8 years of IT work experience in business intelligence tools and systems β€’ Working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and data warehouse front-end tools β€’ Must have an extensive knowledge of data warehouse and data mart concepts β€’ Experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies β€’ Typically has 7+ years of programming/systems analysis experience The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $140,000 or the hourly equivalent.
