Learn more at https://staffxpertllc.com Job Summary STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Data Scientist I – Data Science & Machine Learning on behalf of our client in Urbandale, Iowa. This role supports data science and machine learning initiatives by applying advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and ML techniques to solve complex business challenges. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to transform data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities β€’ Lead and support end-to-end data science and analytics projects β€’ Translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions β€’ Clean, preprocess, and analyze large structured and unstructured datasets β€’ Build, validate, and deploy statistical and machine learning models β€’ Perform feature engineering and support data pipeline preparation β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights β€’ Present findings through reports, dashboards, and stakeholder presentations β€’ Work within Agile teams while maintaining transparency in tasks and deliverables β€’ Stay current with emerging data science and machine learning trends Required Qualifications Education: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field Technical Skills: β€’ Strong proficiency in Python and SQL β€’ Hands-on experience with data analysis, ETL processes, and data preprocessing β€’ Solid understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques β€’ Experience working with structured and/or unstructured datasets β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills β€’ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities β€’ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications β€’ Master’s or PhD in a related field β€’ Experience with PySpark, Databricks, AWS, Git/GitHub, and Bash β€’ Knowledge of data modeling and relational databases β€’ Exposure to MLOps or Data Engineering practices β€’ Experience with AI/LLMs or transformer-based models β€’ Domain experience in telematics, agronomic, or manufacturing datasets
