Role description
Position: Data Scientist (W2 or 1099 or C2C) Locations: Fremont, CA Austin, TX Seattle, WA New York, NY Duration: Six Months (High chances of extension) We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist with a strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning, and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Python, SQL, and data visualization. You will work closely with business and engineering teams to uncover insights, build predictive models, and deliver data-driven recommendations that support critical decision-making. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Develop, validate, and deploy statistical and machine learning models to address business problems. β€’ Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, correlations, and actionable insights. β€’ Design and evaluate experiments, including A/B testing and causal inference studies. β€’ Write efficient SQL and Python code to query and analyze structured and unstructured datasets. β€’ Create compelling visualizations and dashboards (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik) to communicate findings clearly. β€’ Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and translate them into analytical solutions. β€’ Present results and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required Qualifications: β€’ 8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling. β€’ Strong programming skills in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch). β€’ Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis. β€’ Solid foundation in statistics, probability, and experimental design. β€’ 4+ years of hands-on experience with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.). β€’ Experience working with large datasets and applying advanced analytical techniques. β€’ Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex findings clearly. β€’ A strong LinkedIn profile with recommendations - candidates with demonstrated credibility through endorsements and peer/manager reviews will be given priority ο»Ώ Preferred Qualifications: β€’ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). β€’ Exposure to NLP, deep learning, or advanced ML techniques. β€’ Knowledge of data governance and ethical AI practices.
