Data Scientist - Weston, FL (Onsite Role) - Locals General Overview • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, providing technical and professional guidance. • Bridge the gap between technical teams and business units (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product Development). • Drive and execute impactful data science projects aligned with business goals. • Spearhead the development and deployment of innovative machine learning and AI solutions. • Foster a data-driven culture and champion best practices across the organization. Key Responsibilities • Mentor and guide data scientist team members, promoting collaboration and professional growth. • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and translate business needs into data science solutions. • Design, develop, and implement machine learning models, statistical analyses, and predictive algorithms. • Build and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality and efficient feature engineering. • Train, validate, and deploy ML models using various algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, time series, reinforcement learning). • Evaluate and optimize model performance. • Set and implement data science standards and best practices. • Lead complex projects through all stages of the data science lifecycle. • Identify new opportunities for AI/ML to drive business growth and competitive advantage. • Contribute to and execute the data science roadmap, aligning initiatives with business objectives. • Stay current on industry trends and advancements in ML and data science. • Advocate for and foster a data-driven culture across the organization. Required Qualifications • Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. • 7+ years of experience in data science roles, with a track record of successful ML deployments. • Proficiency in Python, R, or similar statistical programming languages. • Expertise in machine learning algorithms, including deep learning and time series analysis. • Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ML-specific cloud services. • Experience with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases. • Strong SQL skills, including advanced features (window functions, CTEs). • Experience with Python libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Dask) for data processing. • Solid grasp of statistical concepts and data analysis techniques. • Agile/Scrum experience. • Excellent communication and presentation skills for non-technical audiences. • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work both independently and collaboratively. • SaaS industry experience is a plus. • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities. • Proven ability to identify and communicate AI/ML opportunities to stakeholders.
