About the Ads Data Science Team
The team leverages data to maximize advertiser success through robust data foundations, metrics, and strategic insights generated via experimentation and advanced data science methods. Youβll work on impactful challenges in areas like ad targeting, relevance modeling, auction optimization, measurement, and user experience β collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow data scientists.
What Youβll Do
β’ Design, develop, and apply data science solutions to improve advertiser experience and platform performance
β’ Build data assets (e.g., new tables, self-serve dashboards) to empower partners with actionable insights
β’ Create reporting dashboards to help product and engineering teams monitor key metrics and dive into trends
β’ Analyze large-scale datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that improve ad effectiveness
β’ Partner with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into data-driven solutions
β’ Deliver strategic insights that influence future product direction
β’ Develop ML models and data science methods for anomaly detection, prediction, and pattern recognition
β’ Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization
What Weβre Looking For
β’ Engineering Experience/Background: someone who can truly understand the project from a business pain point. Use creativity and solve the issue hands-on.
β’ Product meaning: Someone who is working in an environment that users/customers are directly interacting with rather than internal.
β’ Analytics: Distribution analysis and related data workflows. Exposure to data modeling.
β’ 10+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field
β’ Experience working within the advertising or ad tech industry is required
β’ Strong understanding of statistical modeling, ML algorithms, causal inference, and experimental design
β’ Experience with SQL and relational databases
β’ Proficiency in Python or R, plus familiarity with libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
β’ Experience with large-scale data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Hive, or BigQuery
β’ Hands-on experience with causal inference and A/B testing
β’ MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
