Role description
Our team is looking for a Data & Algorithms Lead to help drive the development of innovative algorithms, signal processing workflows, and data systems for advanced sensor technologies. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Microbiology, Systems Engineering, and R&D, to analyze complex sensor data, develop new workflows, and help translate experimental findings into product advancement. What you’ll do • Develop new algorithms and signal processing workflows for sensor data analysis • Design and optimize data collection, storage, retrieval, and visualization systems • Perform deep analysis of experimental data and present findings to leadership • Collaborate with engineering and development partners on software specifications for signal interpretation • Lead multidisciplinary teams to expand the capabilities of products and prototypes • Support design reviews, phase gate processes, and compliance with FDA/ISO requirements • Mentor team members and contribute to hiring efforts • Assist with patent application preparation and technical documentation What we’re looking for • Master’s or PhD in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field • 3+ years of experience in medical devices or biosensors • Strong background in electrochemical biosensors, assay development, and prototyping • Proficiency in Python • Expertise in data analysis, statistics, and algorithm optimization • Experience with design controls, traceability, and regulated product development • Preferred: biological assay skills such as ELISA, PCR, and microbiology experience Pay range and compensation package The hourly pay range for this position is $45 to $50 on a W2 basis.
