Data Specification Specialist - 2 year fixed term contract
Salary: £40,122 per annum
Location: Flexible - able to travel within our operating regions
Hours: 37 hours per week

As our Data Specification Specialist, you’ll be playing a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, consistency and integrity of data relating to our physical assets and components. The role will see you developing, implementing and maintaining robust data specifications, standards and governance frameworks, which will support strategic decision making, asset management and compliance.
You’ll be overseeing data migration and integration projects to ensure effective transfer and consolidation of data. You’ll be developing data mapping and transformation rules to maintain data integrity.
Responsibilities for the role will also include –
• Developing comprehensive data specifications, including data definitions, formats and quality standards
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify data requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Establishing data governance policies, procedures and standards to ensure data quality, integrity and security
• Implementing data quality assurance measures, including data cleansing, validation and reconciliation processes
About you
You will come to the role with proven experience of data management and data governance preferably within the housing or construction industry.
You’ll have proficiency in data management tools and technologies, eg SQL, Python, data visualisation tools.
You will have knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations related to physical asset date, eg ISO, PAS.
Your analytical skills will be one of your main strengths and you’ll be confident in your problem solving skills.
You will understand how data isn’t understood by everyone, so you’ll be able to adapt your messaging to suit your audience, using your strong communication skills to ensure that there’s understanding.
This is a hybrid role. The team do come together for meetings from time to time, so having the ability to travel to Devizes and Andover as required will be important.
