Role description
Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Data Trainer. The Data Trainer will design and deliver training programs, provide lectures, and train individuals or teams in Information Technology and Software Development. Responsibilities include creating learning materials, offering real-world examples, tracking learner progress, and guiding participants to improve their skills and knowledge. Required Technical Expertise Candidates must demonstrate strong, hands-on experience in most of the following areas: Data Engineering: • Python, SQL • ETL/ELT pipelines • Data modeling & warehousing • Big Data & Streaming: • Spark, Kafka (or equivalents) • Cloud Platforms (at least one): • AWS / Azure / GCP • Cloud data services (Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, etc.) AI / ML Fundamentals: • ML workflows, model training & evaluation • Feature engineering, MLOps basics • Modern Data Stack concepts and architectures Training & Communication Requirements • Significant prior experience as a trainer, mentor, or lead guiding engineers. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to adapt teaching style based on learner maturity and background. • Strong presentation and whiteboarding skills. • Confident handling of Q&A, discussions, and technical deep dives. Ideal Candidate Profile • Senior Data Engineer / AI Engineer / Tech Lead with training exposure. • Passion for teaching, mentoring, and shaping careers. • Comfortable working with working professionals and career switchers. • Structured thinker with a market-first mindset (teaching what companies actually hire for).
