Role description
Ideal Candidate Profile: Seeking an experienced Data Visualization & HR Reporting Consultant (Power BI) who is well versed in raw HR data points, current reporting techniques and strategic development of an interactive HR Dashboard utilizing PowerBI where the raw data is automatically updated frequently and permits for ad hoc reporting. This role will provide expertise and support in HR data reporting, validation, and visualization through the development of an interactive dashboard using Power BI and establishing a data warehouse to collect, store and organize data.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance interactive Power BI dashboards using existing dashboard frameworks.
Analyze, validate, and transform raw HR data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability for reporting purposes.
Establish and maintain a data warehouse to collect, store, and organize HR data for enterprise reporting.
Implement automated data refresh processes to support frequently updated and ad hoc reporting.
Develop and maintain HR metrics and visualizations, including but not limited to:
• Agency position count and headcount
• Workforce demographics
• Turnover and retention trends
• Leave usage and absenteeism
• Time-to-fill metrics
• Vacant positions and workforce gaps
Apply best practices in data visualization to ensure dashboards are intuitive, insightful, and user-friendly.
Partner with HR, IT, and other functional teams to gather reporting requirements and align data solutions with business needs.
Ensure confidentiality and data security when handling sensitive HR and workforce information.
Provide training and knowledge transfer to end users and stakeholders on dashboard usage and interpretation.
Document data models, reporting logic, and dashboard processes for ongoing maintenance and scalability.
Required Skills & Experience
Demonstrated experience designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and reports, including data modeling, visualization best practices, automated data refresh, and support for ad hoc reporting.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing complex SQL queries for data extraction, validation, transformation, and analysis from relational databases in support of enterprise reporting solutions.
Demonstrated experience utilizing Python for data analysis, data transformation, automation, and reporting, including the ability to process large and complex datasets.
Demonstrated experience using SAS for data analysis, statistical processing, and reporting in support of organizational or enterprise data initiatives.
Demonstrated experience in data management and development, including data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, data quality assurance, data validation, and maintenance of structured data environments to support reporting and analytics.
