Job Title: Data Visualization Specialist Duration: 6+ Months Location: Florida (Offsite / Remote) Position Type: Contract Hours Per Week: 40 Interview Type: TBD Ceipal ID: SFL_DSS985_KV Job Code: 202550_SA_DSS End Client: State of Florida Department: Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) – Office of Technology & Information Services (OTIS) Scope of Project The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), through its Office of Technology & Information Services (OTIS), is seeking an experienced Decision Support Specialist (Data Visualizer – Intermediate) to provide IT staff augmentation services. The role supports data-driven decision-making by designing and delivering advanced data visualizations, analytics, and reporting solutions for environmental and operational programs. Responsibilities: • Develop visually appealing, intuitive, and user-friendly dashboards and reports using Qlik Cloud • Advise program areas on effective data visualizations and analytical approaches • Collaborate with data engineers to gather, clean, and validate data from multiple sources • Apply statistical methods to identify patterns, trends, correlations, anomalies, and insights • Interpret data using aggregation and advanced analytical techniques • Work with stakeholders to identify KPIs and develop performance metrics • Optimize data collection, storage, and retrieval processes • Monitor data quality and recommend data cleansing or enhancement solutions • Stay current with industry best practices in data visualization and analytics • Partner with cross-functional teams to promote data-driven decision-making • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and colleagues Required/Preferred Skills: Required Skills: • 3–5 years of experience in data visualization and analysis • Experience gathering and cleaning data from multiple sources • Knowledge of statistical methods for data analysis • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines Preferred Skills: • 3–5 years of experience with Qlik Sense / Qlik Cloud • Experience with Alteryx • Experience with Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, or similar tools • 3+ years of experience working with environmental or scientific data V Group Inc. is a NJ-based IT Services and Products Company with its business strategically categorized in various Business Units including Public Sector, Enterprise Solutions, Professional Services, Ecommerce, Projects, and Products.
