Position: Data Visualization Specialist Type: 6 weeks, with potential for extension Hours: 40 hours/week Location: Remote About The Role Our global technology solutions and consulting client is seeking a talented Data Visualization Designer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Fortune 100 and 500 clients, pushing the creative envelope and delivering visually stunning data representations. We're looking for a creative who blends the eye of a graphic designer with the clarity of a data analyst-someone who can take complex datasets and transform them into compelling, intuitive, and visually beautiful dashboards and data stories. This role is ideal for someone who has experience with tools like Power BI or Tableau, but who also understands typography, layout, color, and brand storytelling. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create polished visualizations that not only convey insight but also reflect design standards and strategic priorities. Responsibilities • Design and refine visually engaging dashboards and data products using Power BI, Excel, etc. • Create custom visual elements (infographics, illustrations, icons, layout enhancements) to elevate core dashboards and presentations • Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable visual stories • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to understand the "why" behind the data • Ensure visual consistency with brand guidelines across all data products • Bring a user-first lens to visualization-clarity, accessibility, and beauty in equal parts Requirements • Proven experience in data visualization design, with a strong portfolio showcasing beautiful, clean, and simple graphics. • Proficiency in design tools and software used for creating data visualizations. • Ability to create intuitive and brand-sensitive graphics that align with client standards. • Strong quantitative skills and a focus on numbers-driven design. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
