Our challenge
We are seeking a highly experienced Qlik Sense Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive data visualizations and dashboards that support strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data modeling, scripting, and Qlik Sense development, with a deep understanding of business intelligence (BI) best practices and data storytelling.
Additional Information
• The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Jacksonville, FL is $100k - $105k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain Qlik Sense dashboards and applications based on business requirements.
• Perform data integration, transformation, and modeling using Qlik scripting and data load editor.
• Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and data engineers to gather and analyze requirements.
• Optimize data models and dashboard performance for scalability and efficiency.
• Implement security rules and user access controls within Qlik Sense.
• Create visualizations that effectively communicate insights and KPIs to non-technical audiences.
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot issues in existing Qlik Sense reports and scripts.
• Document design specifications, technical procedures, and user guides.
• Monitor BI system performance and recommend improvements as needed.
• Stay updated on Qlik product releases and industry BI trends.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Qlik Sense development.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts.
• Experience with ETL processes and integrating data from various sources (databases, APIs, Excel, etc.).
• Strong understanding of Qlik Sense architecture and deployment.
• Ability to write complex Qlik scripting and expressions.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Qlik NPrinting, QlikView, or other BI tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Preferred, but not required:
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Proactive in identifying problems and proposing effective solutions.
